IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active medium-sized mechanical engineering company with headquarters in Nürtingen, in Southern Germany, and more than 550 employees worldwide. For more than 45 years the company has been producing equipment for curing print and coating by means of UV light. The UV systems cure inks, varnishes, silicones, adhesives, resins and other materials in fractions of a second. The IST METZ group of companies offers its customers the world’s largest product portfolio of high-performance UV lamp and UV LED systems. The range is complemented by warm air infrared drying systems and excimer technology.

We have our own sales and service companies in France, the UK, the USA, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, China and Thailand and also work with a world-wide network of distributors and partners.
eta plus electronic gmbh develops and manufactures the UV lamps and electronic components for all IST UV systems. As business unit of IST METZ S1 Optics carries out the optical- and vacuum-coating of the reflectors. modulux is an off-shoot of IST METZ and works with the Nürtingen-based UV provider for services that go beyond the sale of LED UV systems, such as installation or maintenance.
The heart of the IST Campus is the state-of-the-art research and development laboratory. The so-called UV Technology Campus combines application, process and product development in one place. The campus is complemented by the so-called LEDLab. In the new competence center, a team of technology experts is researching and developing the next generation of high-performance and sustainable LED UV systems. IST METZ is an international group consisting of 11 companies with more than 550 employees worldwide and a total group turnover of Euro 83 Million. The Company operates from 21.800 m² of production area and office space.
The head of METZ BETEILIGUNGEN GmbH is the founder's grandson Christian-Marius Metz, who attaches great importance to maintaining close contact with the company with his family. For seven years, Metz himself was the company's managing director before deciding in December 2022 to concentrate on his work at the investment company. Together with his wife, who is also closely acquainted with the fortunes of the company, and their children, Metz lives in Nürtingen. The fact that Metz has strong ties to the region is also reflected in his commitment to social institutions, which is reflected in particular in his own IST METZ Foundation.
Already since 2011, the British company Integration Technology, which specializes in the development and manufacture of UV LED curing solutions for digital printing, has been part of the METZ group of companies. With the rebranding, the company is now responding to the increased global market demand for reliable, high-performance LED solutions. The joint brand combines the decades of expertise of both companies and offers a broader range of innovative products.
