Our IST METZ team once again had a packed trade fair calendar up its sleeve this year. The promising interim results show: even in the digital age, personal contacts are worth their weight in gold. With this in mind, we are looking forward to an inspiring final spurt in the current trade fair year and are already looking forward to our UV DAYS 2025 with great anticipation.
The IST trade fair agenda has been full and extremely successful in recent months. Our colleagues brought along two aces that have the potential to write the next chapter in UV curing. Our FREEcure process, which can reduce the use of photoinitiators to a minimum, and the SMARTcure system - the AI curing assistant for the optimum curing process in your application. Overwhelming visitor response included.
As was already apparent in the first half of 2024, the trend of increasing internationality among trade fair visitors was confirmed in the overall picture. As did the call for more sustainability and approaches geared towards the digital world.
At FachPack Nürnberg, for example, we recorded a significant demand for our FREEcure system.
In contrast, during the Battery Show in Detroit, North America's largest advanced battery event, the IST booth was all about the IST VUV Excimer System. It offers optimal process control and efficiency like no other: With our VUV excimer cleaning process, we can monitor and control the ozone content and 172nm UV-C irradiation inside the inert chamber. No one can match this performance.
It was all about wood: IST METZ/ IST America had a creative stand at the International Woodworking Fair®. North America's largest trade fair and conference for woodworking technology and design. There are signs of great FREEcure potential here, and Excimer and the UV analyzer also appear to be major topics for the woodworking industry.
Another important trade fair was the China Composites Expo in Shanghai. In Asia, the event is one of the most important and internationally recognised trade fairs for composites technology and design. From end customers to manufacturers and machine builders to suppliers and resin producers, this was the meeting place for the international composites industry - including, of course, IST METZ/ IST China.
We were present at Indian Summer Print with a joint stand with our Indian representative Newstech India Pvt Ltd. The cooperation with Newstech has been in place since 2015 and has proven to be extremely successful since then. The mood was consistently positive and clearly showed that there is still a high demand for UV installations in newspaper presses - after all, India is one of the largest newspaper markets.With our UV printing technology, we are already represented at many of the major newspapers
CAMX was also a great success, as was Printing United and Kompozyt Expo, which once again clearly demonstrated one thing: There is nothing like personal contact to fly the flag and look into the smiling faces of our visitors - especially when we can go home with such a positive conclusion. Namely, that the IST still has a significant influence on the state of the art.
